What is Delta 8 THC? And is it Legal?

Scientists recently discovered that other than the well known Delta9 THC,  Delta8, Delta10 THC, as well as many other cannabinoids occur naturally in  both cannabis and hemp. This is usually in very small concentrations but they can be extracted from Hemp Flower using a high tech processes that allows us to not only able to extract it from hemp, but also convert CBD, CBDa, THC, and THCa into Delta8 and Delta 10 THC.

So, What is the difference between Delta 8, Delta9, and Delta10?

Traditionally, most people would assume that a THC product would be considered to be Cannabis and is Illegal Federally.
That was before Delta 8 THC came around. Unlike Delta 9 THC, Delta 8 THC is a minor cannabinoid with a calming and distinct high of its own. It differs from Delta 9 THC in its duration, less intense calming effect, and happy feeling as described by many users who use it for pain relief, anxiety, and as a sleep aide.

Why am I able to purchase Delta 8 online but not Delta 9 THC?

The short answer for why you can purchase Delta 8 online is that the Farm Bill legalized all Hemp derived cannabinoids including Delta 8 THC.
This does not mean it is legal in every State. Many states have banned the use and sale of this cannabinoid as well as other cannabinoids.
As of the date of this blog,  Delta 8 has been banned or deemed illegal in Utah, Rhode Island, Montana, Mississippi, Maryland Iowa, Idaho, Delaware, Colorado, Arkansas, Arizona, and Alaska.
